As proud as we are of all the awards that these new and used cars of ours keep picking up here at BMW of Des Moines, the truth is that they only count for so much if the masses aren't getting behind them. After all, the auto industry is a business, and if you want to succeed in business, you need to sell some product. But lucky for us, we work for BMW.

Earlier this month, we here at BMW of Des Moines told you the story of a bonehead who became a YouTube sensation after driving his poor 2013 BMW M3 into a ditch. It was a perfect example of why we're such strong advocates of safe driving, and if it weren't for his BMW, we're guessing that guy would have had a much harder time getting out of that ditch. Because with BMW Assist available on all of our new and used cars, it's accidents like these that our favorite automaker prepares for.

As many of you are already well aware, YouTube is quite the interesting place. On the one hand, it's provided us here at BMW of Des Moines with hours of entertainment in the form of endless cat videos and first looks at future additions to our new and used car lineup. On the other hand, it's also opened the floodgate for knuckleheads across the globe to gain overnight fame. Case in point: one bad driver and his 2013 BMW M3.

Nearly everyone would like to get a glimpse into the future. Whether he/she is interested in knowing when the first flying cars hit the market, or simply seeing what his/her future life will hold, the future is a mystery a lot of us would like to better understand. To try and satisfy this curiosity, luxury auto brand BMW is giving NYC pedestrians a look at would the future of the automotive industry could hold.
