The 2016 M2 -- BMW's all-new sports coupe -- is a sneaky little devil. While its pocket-sized proportions seem to suggest one thing, its remarkable road manner says something very different:
Namely, that the M2 isn't messing around. Underestimate this diminutive dynamo and it'll leave you in the dust.
AutoGuide.com Features Editor Sami Haj-Assaad recently learned this firsthand. Thankfully for his sake, though, he was the one creating the dust -- not the one eating it. Take a look:
Equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, the M2 turns out a tremendous 365 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels by a six-speed manual transmission; a seven-speed automated manual (DCT), meanwhile, is optional.
And when you give this pony the spurs, it'll come to life in a flash, putting down the 0-to-60 mph dash in a mere 4.1 seconds.
