A midsize luxury SUV wholly unlike most of its contemporaries, the spanking-new 2016 BMW X5 xDrive40e sure is a stunner.
And, apparently, we at BMW of Des Moines aren't the only ones who feel this way.
As it turns out, we can now count Cars.com critic, Kelsey Mays, among the fast-growing list of X5 xDrive40e proponents. Follow along with his video review below to get a closer look:
Coupling a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a built-in electric motor and battery pack, the X5 xDrive40e is rated at a robust 308 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. A specialized eight-speed automatic gearbox and the illustrious xDrive all-wheel system are served up standard.
Also standard with the X5 xDrive40e is the ability to zip from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.5 seconds. It's a green machine with ample attitude.
