BMW and its M performance brand have a long history of putting out models that exemplify the title of "Ultimate Driving Machine." Among these models are the 2002 turbo, and the 1M coupe, both of which the new 2016 M2 have been readily compared to. But how does it hold up?

While the automotive news gauntlet had some doubts about the M2's weight ratio, Motortrend editor Jason Commisa found it not only fun to drive, but more nimble than the larger and more endowed M4. He also took it out on the road, where he had quite a bit of fun throwing it into corners, and putting all three 365 ponies into play.
